Case Dismissed: Prism Prevails Against TASB

I am pleased to announce that Prism Risk Management has prevailed against the Texas Association of School Boards in their third-action for tortious interference against the company.   The suit against Prism was filed in July of 2010.   Ben DeLeon of DeLeon & Washburn immediately stepped in to help defend against this perplexing claim.  Despite repeated productions of documents in discover which showed that Prism was unable to have committed the alleged tort, TASB continued to pursue the suit against us for almost two years.  Following my deposition in May, we were able to show evidence that proved our position to be correct.   On May 30, 2012, Prism won its Traditional and No-Evidence Motion for Summary Judgment at a bench hearing in Travis County District Court.

I owe a tremendous amount of thanks to Ben DeLeon and Lauren Schoenbaum of DeLeon & Washburn, PC, as well as to Sara Foskitt of The Foskitt Law Office, PLLC.   Please visit DeLeon & Washburn’s blog for the firm’s perspective on this case and to learn more about the services the firm provides.  Furthermore, please visit Sara Foskitt’s Local Counsel blog to learn more about her services as a litigator and as local counsel in Travis County District Court.
